Choconana Ganache

With the booming amount of banana bread sellers online, we're proud to say that we have been doing this for 7 years. We are confident that if not the first, we are "one of the first" to release this product--- Banana Cake with Chocolate Ganache--- CHOCONANA GANACHE

We needed to put it out there to credit the beginnings of our humble bakery. It all started with our Classic Banana Cake that was later on enriched with our decadent chocolate ganache. Why ganache? because our kids love it! We love it!

Since then, this has been the most requested item from our list. To be honest, we did a lot of experimentation with our classic banana cake to make it more appealing and appetizing, but we never changed anything with our Choconana Ganache. The amount of ganache oozing in every slice, mixing with the natural flavor of the banana came out perfectly. 

Commonly, well for some, they would pour and cover the whole cake with icing, or ganache for this matter. In our case, we don't want to overpower flavors so balance is key when it comes to toppings. Some like it sweet, but not too sweet. Some like it plain, searching not only for the chocolate, but the original banana flavor or the taste of the cake itself.

In the end, this was created because of the trust we have given ourselves, that we can come up with something our own, hence, Choconana Ganache. It is how much effort you put on being original and transforming simple things as your own that matters.

Understanding Our Bread


We had an inquiry sometime in February and was asked how much were our bread loaves. We gave our menu and our terms, but the person found our price high which was 160php each,  at 600g per loaf . 

We gladly accepted her feedback and reaction, and that inquiry became an opportunity for us to come up with a post to further show the kind of bread we make. Like coffee, there's instant coffee and there's freshly brewed. Same idea with bread. 

We need to get the difference between commercial bread and artisanal bread out there so people will have an idea what they're looking at and to give understanding why artisan breads are priced in such way. 

We consider our bread collection under Artisan because the ingredients we use are properly selected.

We choose quality. 

We knead and shape it with our clean, bare hands. 

We only make the bread on the day of pick- up or delivery. 

Aside from the basic bread ingredients, it is healthier because it's free from additives, hence a shorter shelf life. 

There's a personal touch to it because we made a common bread our own by redefining its shape and texture. Enhancing a flavor through the natural component of an ingredient like the sweetness of raisins.

The softness and freshness of the bread is maintained through proper storage once it's purchased and opened. Based on our observation, our bread loaves maintain its soft texture up to one week if sealed. But ideally, a person who likes bread in the morning and for snacks can consume it in less than a week. Yes, it's that good if you know your bread.😀

Brioche French Toast

We made the recipe, did a lot of adjustments and had a fair amount of fails. We went back to reading an old library of recipe books and compared recipes. Whatever we have now is surely an achievement. There is a sense of accomplishment in being able to create something. Even with no proper schooling in bread making,  we tried our best to learn and followed our instincts as consumers. What we want in bread if we're to buy it and what is healthy for the family.
