Frank and Mike's Bakery is a home- based food business that offers quality and healthy baked products. Located at the heart of Quezon City, Philippines, we make premium cake loaves and specialty breads. 

Our products are inspired by the food and pastries the owners personally love. The creation of each product has basis, a story that tells why it has become a staple on our own table. Frank and Mike personally chose our bestseller, The Choconana. 

Why Banana Cake?

First off, it is cake, because we want it moist like any cake we're familiar with. Our family has this habit of bringing home a roll or a whole cake from our usual weekend rendezvous, and that's what we indulge in for the week. But as we know, commercial cake is packed with sugar and flavorings, so later on, we found it unhealthy. At the same time, our kids are growing and in need of proper nutrition in which they can still enjoy being a sweet tooth.

The easiest way to go about it, is to combine fruit and basic cake recipe, and banana being a staple in our home, became the main ingredient.

Frank & Mike made banana cake the star of our line of products. They are very particular with the taste and texture. They tried banana cakes or bread in particular sold by famous coffee shops and dessert shops, but they still prefer homemade. This has become the whole family's favorite. 

Why choose Frank & Mike's, the very core and reason why we made this business remained intact. The main purpose has always been for the family. Every now and then, we make loaves and serve them on our own table. It is simply, embracing what we love as a family, what makes us happy, healthy and then share it with you.

As a business, our focus is to serve affordable, quality and healthy food items. Products that we will most likely buy and enjoy as consumers. It is reasonable, ingredients are not compromised and it is nutritious.

 *We do not use extenders, preservatives and flavorings in our baked items.

Changed by Covid- 19

The Covid health crisis was a challenge for all, it is life- changing for most. We felt the impact and immediately thought of ways on how to adjust and still thrive amidst the pandemic. The important thing for us now is to be able to offer food items that are easy in the pocket.  Thus, we changed our packaging to make our product more budget- friendly. What matters is the very foundation and mission remains solid so we can serve and provide.

Our business was never based online. We join bazaars in order to sell and personally bring our products to offices and small gatherings. There are still community bazaar options, fresh markets organized by private groups and still pursue our dream location and ideal setup.

At the moment, we decided to make Frank & Mike's function fully online.  We receive special calls, orders from our regular clients, but going all out public online with the vast number of competitors is a different story and that itself is the challenge. 

One thing this pandemic has brought about is the huge amount of time spent at home with the family. We used that time to reinvent our small business and started experimenting on new products. Frank and Mike's opened in 2015, but it is only now that we were able to allot time to further expand our online content and that includes the creation of a website (and thanks to this food blog).

This food blog is the place to be when it comes to making various food discoveries and successful food experimentations and baking.

We love exploring places just to express our love for food, in cooking and in preparing healthy dishes. Just around the corner, for sure, there's something delicious to discover.

This food blog was created to share our food moments as a family. You know the feeling as if everything was all set perfectly for you? With the food we love on the table and our loved ones surrounding us.
