We finally have the most sought after Filipino bread roll "Classic Pandesal" on the menu. It took quite awhile for us because this particular bread is available for anyone and anywhere in the country. It is often associated to our typical, local panaderia or bread shop which is found in almost every street in every town.
Since Frank & Mike's Bakery has been about what we love as a family, we decided to add Pandesal on our menu of specialty breads but we leveled it up a notch. No there's no ube or cheese, but the F&M Classic Pandesal is enriched with more premium bread ingredients to make it natural as it remains soft, fluffy but not airy.
It takes us some time to come up with a new kind of bread product because we study everything down to the simplest recipe, it is a process we don't want to play around with. As mentioned in the previous blogs, we don't use additives and commercialize ingredients, and we want to be consistent with every bread we make.
A lady once asked why our pandesal look different, The Frank & Mike's pandesal is made extraordinary because it is weighed according to how we like our bread if we're to buy it, at least at 55g each roll.
Yes, you can buy a piece of pandesal from a local bread shop for just 2.50php each, but it's all air and it becomes hard a day after. Not to forget, it gets moldy in less than a week.
The Frank & Mike's Pandesal remains soft and fluffy up to a week if stored properly. We recommend transferring your bread in an airtight container and keep out of direct sunlight. If it's in a bag, refrigerate. It's more delicious if you toast our pandesal fresh in the morning even if it's a 3- day old bread.👍
