Vizco's Restaurant and Cake Shop Baguio City

We spent our second night in Baguio by making reservations in one of their famous Spa and explored Session Road for a restaurant that will answer our appetite for  Italian Cuisine.
We had a relaxing stroll along Session Road. Sunday is a busy night in Baguio. It was a cool evening.
There were so much restaurants to choose from... if we could only visit all in one night.
Vizco's is famous for their delicious international dishes, cakes and  pastries. Their signature dishes are mostly Italian, pizza and pasta. Meals costs from Php150-300. Guaranteed hot meal, fast service, fresh ingredients, friendly and hospitable locals ready to serve.
Lasagna
It may look plain, but once you taste it... the mix of herbs and special sauce will make this meal the ultimate Lasagna dish.
And when you're palette is ready for something new, it is best to order the house specialty. Like my Pasta Paella. I've never tasted Pasta Paella before, and they say Vizco's version is one of the best. True enough, I ordered another to go.
Italian dine-in is not complete without pizza. My Vizco's pizza experience was all about the dough. It was the perfect pizza dough for me. I was able to know that it was freshly made by the taste, I can even smell fresh flour with the steam coming from my hot pizza while I cut a piece and with the mozzarella topping melting. It was really good.
Vizco's has a traditional coffeehouse- like interiors that provides a relaxing atmosphere and is surely an inviting venue for both locals and tourists to hang-out. Our night at Vizco's was spent with warm companions, good conversation, relaxing dining experience and great food. It was surely the perfect way to enjoy Baguio before heading home.

Vizco's Restaurant and Cake Shop is located at the city's main commercial area, along Session Road.

*One of their house specialty is their Strawberry Shortcake. You can view it through this link: Vizco's Strawberry Shortcake

Better Bathrooms

We've been renting our home for 6 years and the next thing we want to have once we have our own house is to have better bathrooms. One thing is for sure,we are going to make our bathrooms stylish. Bathrooms are second location in the house that makes a person complete. This is where most of our pampering is done.  For the rest, this also serves as a private room to have some time for one's self. Big or small, stylish or simple, some of us even spend hours in this area also called as the clean room.
We can find several sellers of bathroom accessories within the city. But one of the best choices can now be found online. From toilets, shower heads, shower trays, heated towel rails, bathroom mirrors and even whirlpool baths. Tiles for bathroom walls and floor is also offered with lots of designs to choose from. But please take note that tiles are sold per pack only. A range of Stone Care products for cleaning, maintenance, and protection of your natural stone surfaces are being sold too. The website offers 1000s of up to date, hand selected products. All of them come with reliable and genuine guarantees giving you piece of mind when you shop.

City's Most Popular Repair Company

Personally, I don't know much about computers. If something happens to my computer, I rely on the experts.  With 2 blogs under my name, I can't afford to just ask anybody to diagnose the problem and kinda "try" to fix it. In this case there are people who are well- trained in order to help and give service to those who are in immediate need. A good company should be affordable, fast, convenient, and with high quality computer repair services. A computer is now considered as an essential and it is quite an investment to have one. Experience wise,  we all want somebody who can be trusted who we know can finish the job in no time.  A service center specializes on western digital hard drive recovery may also be a remote mac support, restoration of essential information, and data recovery western digital and other brands of media.

Services such as western digital data recovery can be done at the company's store, your own location, or nationwide by mail. Delivers fast turnaround times built on years of experience, unbeatable customer service, and are 100% privacy guaranteed.

Great Finds For Baby and Me

One of the things that were very useful when I was pregnant were the baby gifts I received from friends and relatives. I was able to use everything when I gave birth, and budget wise, we were able to save a lot. Just a month ago, I have a good friend who just gave birth and I plan to give her and her baby boy a set of baby products. This set will include cloth towel, receiving blanket, sleeping gown, bib, wash clothes and even a pair of cute booties. The big day has arrived, the baby is here... time to roll out the welcome wagon! It's a cute set! You know what makes it more exciting? This welcome wagon can also be personalized.
A gift set may also contain skin care products. I got a lot of these with my little boy. Mustela products provides gentle and effective skin care for the mother-to-be, and for baby from birth.
This is a collection of Mustela products that cleanse, hydrate and refresh sensitive skin. The package is an eco-friendly, phthalate-free white gift tote that may contain the following:

FTF: Christmas Feast 2010

Due to my absence online for almost 3 weeks, I didn't have the opportunity to share on time what my family feasted on Christmas Eve of 2010. My husband and I divided the tasks on preparing the dishes. Here's one thing we do every time we celebrate an occasion. We love stocking up... yeah, left-overs! You know the idea, that anytime you want to eat, you can just get something from the fridge pop it in the microwave and viola! Total enjoyment with matching hang-over.
I'm just too busy preparing and totally went out of my mind that we are now using a smaller dining table. I'm so used to the big one we had in our old condo. So, the big dishes filled the table instantly. Had to use 2 t.v dinner tables for the rest. To add, our neighbors gave us plates filled with other delights as well.
 Lasagna
Sugarfree Decadent Cake
Breaded Chicken with mayo-garlic dip
Fruit Salad
Homemade Leche Flan
Leche Flan wasn't really part of the menu. Since it's Christmas and Leche Flan is one of my favorites, I decided to make some for our table and more to giveaway.
Creamy Mashed Potatoes for our steak
We also had some rib-eye steak (which we overcooked lol! so no picture for that one)
Holiday ham (which we saved for the New Year) we have so much food on the table so we skipped on serving the ham. And more food came throughout the week after Christmas. Most of them are pastries, cakes and more leche flan.

Tomato and Cheese Pasta

With Del Monte's Tomato and Cheese Gourmet Sauce.
I think I over did it, I used too much sauce. I wasn't expecting it to be this red, looks like I  used ketchup. I could have been wiser, option trading strategies would come in handy. Just to make things clear, over-all, the taste was perfect, but I didn't like how the color of the sauce turned out.

I sauteed some minced garlic, fresh tomatoes, ham, basil and Parmesan cheese in olive oil, then added the gourmet sauce. On the other burner, I have 200g of freshly cooked pasta waiting. I decided to mix everything together considering the small amount being prepared. Then, here it is, a bright red colored pasta. My son liked it,  he was happy I cooked spaghetti for dinner. And when my little boy is happy, I'm happy. I just need to watch out next time.

Chores Makes Me More Hungry

It has been a yearly routine for my husband and I to give out old but useful items so that we can redecorate a little for the new year. As of the moment, downsizing is the most effective way in order to fit the right things in our humble home, when we can still enjoy on buying new stuff and creating a different feel for our house. For 2011, we got rid of old toys, figurines, towels, pillow cases, covers and comforters. We're still in the process of sorting more things, since our stuff is composed  of our personal belongings and furniture from my in-laws. Today, we decided to skip on the chores around the house and went on a little food trip.

We started by visiting our favorite shops and boutiques, then we headed to fill our tummies at Yoshinoya. This restaurant is one of our favorites. When we can't decide what to eat and we want something heavy, Yoshinoya is always the perfect choice.
2 Jumbo Plates which is compose of: Beef and Chicken Teriyaki, Combination of Gyudon and Yakiniku, Combination of Gyudon beef and beef yakiniku with beansprout on top of steaming rice.
Gyudon beef and chicken with mixed vegetables (carrots, cabbage, young corn, baguio beans) on top of steaming rice.
Then we went a little off the usual by going bottomless rice.

Cheesy-Mushroom and Basil Omelette

A dose on how your ordinary omelette can be extraordinary by adding a few ingredients from your pantry. Usually, we add some chopped  tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, ham and cheese. My omelette is  very simple. It is composed of 4 ingredients: beaten eggs seasoned with a little salt and pepper, chopped fresh basil, mushrooms and cheese.

The verdict: taste like Italian. An All- Gourmet website can go with it, fatcow ratings can host it. I love gourmet. Not only it serves rich and flavorful dishes, but with the use of fresh ingredients such as herbs, it can also be a healthy choice of cooking for your food.

Mochiko

MOCHI: is a Japanese confection made of glutinous rice flour. It is usually filled with a sweet center such as anko or red bean paste and eaten as a snack.
Here in the Philippines we have an ice cream filled Mochi. Sold for ₱70 each and it comes in extraordinary delights: Green Tea (my favorite), Red Bean, and Black Sesame. Regular flavors are also available: Mango, Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Caramel.
Mochiko was my first food discovery for 2011. It just so happen that my family was spending the weekend in Tagaytay City, and we decided to spend our afternoon at the Cliff House which reminds me of some apartments in london I saw online. Mochiko was an ultimate find for me. First time to have seen this ice cream shop, first time to taste it and I fell in love with it in an instant. I just love the texture of the glutinous rice mixing with the cold, flavorful ice cream. So yummy! I immediately looked for branches that can be found in Manila, but unfortunately it is still in the process of expanding. As of the moment, Mochiko is available at The Cliff House Tagaytay City (main), FIC Summer Cafe Alabang Town Center, Boracay, BF Paranque and Marquee Mall Angeles City.
At Mercato Centrale, Mochiko was one of the main purpose of my family's visit. I was able to introduce it to some of my friends too.

Kitchen On A Short Break

Hi all!  I know it's been awhile... still got a little hang-over from the holidays. My husband went on leave for almost more than a week. So imagine since the 23rd of December he's been on vacation, which lasted until the 3rd of January of 2011. We made the most of the free and relaxing time granted to us...
Our kitchen was indeed busy the whole month of December 2010, preparing and celebrating the Holiday Season.
As our giveaways, I  skipped on making chocolates and bought boxes Ferrero Rocher instead. We also have gifts like books, scented candles to add color for our family giveaways.
I also made some Leche Flan to give and to add to our table on Christmas Day. We had an awesome celebration this year. There's so much goodies to share. By the way, I still have a Baguio food adventure to  post. Kitchen duties will resume by next week. Thanks for visiting and Happy New Year!
