I was in the mood for Pinoy steak. And one of the easiest to prepare is pork. I used Butterfly Cut pork chops. Marinated it with 1/4 cup calamansi juice, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
Calamondin or Calamansi is a fruit very popular throughout Southeast Asia, especially in the Philippines. It is commonly used for cooking. It is a shrub or small tree growing small citrus fruit used to flavour foods and drinks.

It's been a while since I cooked Pork Steak, hopefully makapagluto ako ulet, maybe one od this days.:)
I like to marinade mine in kalamansi, but its a rarity here. Kung meron, mahal. So I subsitute mine with lemon or lime or even mixed them both. And the fried onions, made it yummy..ier.
this looks delish! our native calamansi has distinct flavor, stronger than lemon.
I love to do it with calamansi too. Wow, this looks so yummy. How I wish I still eat pork. Maybe once in a while. hahaahha...this is so inviting.
i miss eating steak! medyo matagal na akong di nakaluto ng puro pork ah. parating may sahog ang ulam namin kasi mahal ang karne...hehehe. kaya sinasahugan ng gulay.
Looks like chicken. Love the toppings na fresh onions :) Gusto ko din gumamit ng calamansi to get the sour taste for some of my recipes.
