We had simpler dishes for 2009. We also want to be on the healthy side... my husband prepared most of our dishes. He's the Executive Chef and I'm the Sou. It was really fun seeing my husband cook full time. He loves gourmet cooking. Most of our ingredients are fresh.
L-R Whole Meal Pasta with Fresh Basil and Pesto (his specialty), grilled Pork Steak, Tender Bob's Burger (grilled with mushroom gravy), fresh mixed greens with Arugala and Honey Mustard
Desserts Sugar free Fruity Salad and Red Ribbon's Sugar Free Belgian Chocolate BlissQueso De Bola (spherical Edam cheese), my holiday plate with sweet delights my chocolates, some homemade chocolate chip cookies and fresh grapes that we can easily munch on while waiting for the clock to strike 12.
From the main dishes to desserts its all healthy!
Christmas Day, we went to my parent's place to celebrate with the rest of the family. As always , my mom never fails to make our Christmas table look colorful and appetizing.
We had Chicken in Pineapple Sauce, Mom's Sotanghon, Esaladang Talong, Meaty Carbonara, Roasted Chicken, Grilled Liempo, Christmas Ham, Pork BBQ, Fresh Greens.
Desserts: Mixed Pastries (chocolate crinkles, brownies, macarrons), Leche Flan, Red Ribbon White Forest Cake
The platters were always full. The kitchen was very busy, the people HAPPY!
